  • 240 ml  Water
  •  10 g Instant Yeast
  •  15 g  Granulated Sugar
  •  1  Egg
  •  25 g  Butter
  •  35 ml  Sunflower Oil
  •  500 g Flour
  •  8 g  Salt

GARNERING

  •  1  Egg
  •  Sesame Seed

MEAT MIXTURE

  •  25 ml  Olive Oil
  •  650 g  Minced Meat
  •  4.5 g  Salt
  •  3 g  Paprika Powder
  •  3 g  Onion Powder
  •  3 g  Cumin Powder
  •  125 g  Yellow Onion
  •  35 g  Tomato Puree
  •  25 g  Soya Sauce
  •  40 g  Chili Pepper
  •  125 ml  Water
  •  Cheddar Cheese

Recipe:

Prepare the Dough:

Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat and let it cool slightly.

In a deep bowl, combine lukewarm water, yeast, and sugar. Stir well.

Add the beaten egg, melted butter, and sunflower oil. Mix well.

Add the flour and salt. Mix until combined and knead the dough for 10-12 minutes until it forms a cohesive dough.

First Rise:

Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Shape the Dough:

Turn the dough out onto a floured work surface and roll it into a rectangular shape.

Cut the dough into 12 equal pieces and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Brush the dough pieces with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

Second Rise:

Let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.

Bake the Rolls:

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Bake the rolls for 8-15 minutes, until golden brown.

Prepare the Filling:

Peel and chop the yellow onion.

Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add minced meat, salt, paprika powder, onion powder, and cumin powder. Cook for 4-5 minutes.

Add the chopped yellow onion and fry briefly.

Add tomato puree, Soya Sauce, chili sauce, and water. Mix well and remove from heat.

Add slices of cheddar cheese to the minced meat mixture.

Assemble the Rolls:

Cut open a roll and fill it with sauce, fresh vegetables, minced meat mixture, and extra sauce. Enjoy your meal!
